Guru Gouranga Press Srila Gour Govinda Swami started the Guru Gauranga Press in 1983 for publishing and printing Krishna conscious literature in the Oriya language. In 1984 the printing system was converted from letter printing to offset printing. To maintain the running costs of the press Srila Gurudeva sanctioned receiving outside printing work as an opportunity for selling Krishna conscious books. In recent years the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) relocated from the temple premises and is now located a few kilometers from the temple in Patia area, Bhubaneswar. Guru Gouranga Press is printing the literatures of the Oriya Gopal Jiu Publications combined with some outside work for general maintenance. Four printing machines are in operation. A German Heidelberg machine, a compose and swinging machine, to prepare the printing plates, a cutting machine, a stitching machine and a professionally developed DTP section with four computers. This makes Guru Gauranga Press one of the largest and best equipped presses in Orissa. The Guru Gauranga Press is respected for its quality printing.
