" Jay Jagannatha Swami Nayana Patha Gami bhava tume "

In 1977 Srila Prabhupada instructed Srila Gaur Govinda Swami Maharaja to install Sri Vigrahas of Sri Sri Krishna Balarama and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, shaped of metal and to be made in Orissa. Unlike in Sri Vrindavana, instead of Sri Vigrahas of Sri Sri Radha Krishna, Srila Prabhupada wanted Sri Vigrahas of Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva and Subhadra Devi in Their own land of Orissa. But Srila Prabhupada noted that no Sri Vigrahas of Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva and Subhadra Devi needed to be carved or ordered.

Srila Prabhupada predicted that Jagannath would come by himself. In 1991, with the Sri Vigrahas of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai ready and present, and the inauguration of the temple and installation of the Deities soon to come, the proposed altar of Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva and Subhadra Devi was still empty. A few days before the inauguration and installation, Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva and Subhadra Devi came onto the property, in a vehicle. They were being worshipped by a wealthy Vaishnava in Bhubaneswar. Jagannath had come in a dream to the head of the family telling him he must hand ‘Him’ over to the sadhu staying on the ISKCON property at Bhubaneswar. Thus Jagannath came just in time for His installation, fulfilling Srila Prabhupada’s prediction.
